IMPAQT GSO Welcomes New Board Members and Expands Leadership Following a Record-Breaking Year
GREENSBORO, NC — November 12, 2025 — IMPAQT GSO proudly announces the expansion of its Board of Directors with the addition of new members and leadership roles, reflecting the organization’s continued growth and commitment to accountability, transparency, and measurable community impact.
The past year marked a transformative milestone for IMPAQT GSO and its signature event, the Greensboro Pride Festival, which celebrated unprecedented success in 2025 with record-breaking attendance, expanded vendor participation, and overwhelming community support. Building on this momentum, IMPAQT GSO was awarded several major grants for 2025–2026 that will strengthen its year-round programming and expand outreach, education, and advocacy efforts for LGBTQIA+ individuals and families across the Triad.
Founded to create a safe, inclusive, and equitable space for the LGBTQIA+ community, IMPAQT GSO (formerly Alternative Resources of the Triad) now oversees a growing portfolio of initiatives, including health and wellness programming, community partnerships, and the annual Greensboro Pride Festival. As the organization continues to grow in scope and scale, IMPAQT GSO has expanded its Board to ensure strong governance, fiscal transparency, and alignment with its mission-driven work.
“2025 was a defining year for IMPAQT GSO,”said Jessie Taylor, Executive Director of IMPAQT GSO. “We saw tremendous growth, community engagement, and historic success with the Greensboro Pride Festival. The major grants awarded for 2025 and 2026 will allow us to expand our impact even further, reaching more people, creating new programs, and strengthening our commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community across the region.”
“IMPAQT GSO has evolved from a festival committee into a year-round engine of community empowerment,”added Christien Harden, Vice Chair of IMPAQT GSO and Chair of the Greensboro Pride Festival. “With our expanding programming and long-term planning, this Board growth ensures that our structure matches our vision. We’re building not just for today’s success, but for the future of an inclusive, accountable, and thriving organization.”
